I’m going to have you lecture to my children ( instead of me)

Ha! We all need someone for that purpose 😀

Change is hard and (some) change is good but only if you’re (somewhat) in control… I have always relished finding the boundaries of what my body was capable of and seem to have an ability to create a liking for what is good for me. Any tips for trying to persuade firm meat lovers to eat more veg? We’re going on holiday next week with our middle son, our daughter in law and the two grandchildren… it will be lovely but I know my gut won’t enjoy eating meat every day and I would like them to explore veggie meals without pushing it too much… 🤷‍♀️🫣

The meat vs veg debate is always a tough one and I love the way they compliment each other for deep nutritional benefits. I assume you all are planning to cook and this the conundrum?

When trying to please a crowd, I often start with the veggies I want to serve, then incorporate them into a salad, tray bake, or stir fry that can be topped with meat or a pasta that can go with veggies and meat. This way, each person can change the ratios of veggies, carbs and meat to fit their needs. I find even the most anti veg people feel the need to put some of the veggies on their plate!

Great suggestions, thank you. Yes we are self catering but they’re hyper ‘protein’ focused by clever marketeers… my focus is on fibre… haha I’m sure it’ll work out!

Ah yes. Been there, done that, not going back!

Wow!!!! So many changes! Congratulations on all of it! It's so exciting, and sad, and stressful, and wonderful. Are you selling the whole farm?

No! We will keep the farm in its current state as an Airbnb for the next 2-3 years at least☺️
